Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Same question every time: can you get free trades or lower spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code has no impact on spreads.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Simple as that.
What's the bonus amount?
$1,000 deposit adds $200.
$2,000 gets you $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.
You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Finding the partner code field
When you're signing up. Once you've filled in your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click on that text. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Complete your registration. Contact support before funding. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They do this manually all the time.
The bonus has conditions
You need to trade a certain volume.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
One thing worth knowing: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. This lets you take bigger positions. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
